This project was built as an interactive name badge for conferences and social events that significantly improves the quality of people-to-people connectivity. It also brings social technology into the event arena where both host and attendees derive numerous benefits compared to the paper badges of the past.
It is consists of an I2C LCD screen, an ATtiny85 microcontroller and a microphone and powered by 500 mAh LiPo battery. Components were connected through terminals making it easily changeable and the system scalable. The designer used Attiny85 microcontroller because it is low power consumption, size and also its price. Every part was fitted behind the screen as well as the battery and the on/ off button were placed on the side.
This is worn like regular paper badges and what so good about creating this, is all the components used were cheap and can be easily bought.
